Providence Health & Services Certified Central Service Coordinator in San Pedro, California
Providence is calling a (Full Time/ Day Shift) Central Services Coordinator to Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center San Pedro in San Pedro, CA.
In this position you will:
Support and supervise the daily activities of the staff, insuring that the established policies and procedure regarding sterilization, issuing, receiving and process of equipment are adhered to.
Assume responsibility for the Department in the absence of the Supervisor and maintains all record keeping in regard to processing, sterilization of equipment and instrumentation.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Certified Registered Central Services Technician
2 years previous experience in Central Service
Experience in general office practices and procedures, purchasing practices, business ethics and prudent buyer concepts
Must have successfully completed a recognized Central Service Technician course and keep Continuing Education Units ( CEU ) updated and on file
Knowledge of computerized inventory management
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Certified Instrument Specialist
Knowledge of sterilization procedures to include all state regulations, CDC recommendation, and AORN and AAMI standards.
