Providence Health & Services Certified Nursing Assistant 2, CNA2 in Portland, Oregon


Providence is calling a Certified Nursing Assistant 2 to St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland, OR. This is a full-time, day shift position. You will be scheduled to work 5, 8 hour days per week. Shift start time will vary between 6am-8am. You will also be asked to work a weekend coverage rotation.

This position will support the opening of the new Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center. Be a part of a new and exciting team of clinicians! Providence offers competitive wages, great benefits, and free parking.

In this position, you will:

  • The Certified Nursing Assistant 2 (CNA2) assists a Registered Nurse (RN) in providing comprehensive nursing care by performing specified duties and functions under the direct supervision of the RN.

  • All such duties are performed in a caring and respectful manner that promotes team functioning and reflects the Sisters of Providence mission and philosophy.

  • The CNA2 consistently upholds standards of confidentiality, punctuality, and attendance.


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Completion of Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) recognized Acute Care CNA 2 course (or 'grandfathered' to CNA 2 per OSBN requirements).

  • Current, active certificate to practice as a CNA 2 in Oregon.

  • Current BLS certification. New onboarding caregivers must have a current AHA BLS certification.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • 1 year of experience as a CNA2 preferred.
