Providence Health & Services Restaurant Services Assistant II - Cafeteria in Anchorage, Alaska
Providence is calling a Restaurant Services Assistant II ( Cafeteria , Variable, 1.0 FTE) to Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all - especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
Joining our tight knit team would give you the opportunity to work within a fast paced professional cafe, where our number one goal is patient (and customer!) satisfaction.
This position will include a variable schedule that could start as early as 5am or as late as 12pm for eight hours. Weekends will be required.
In this position you will:
Prepare, portion, and deliver foods according to production and customer needs, adhering to regulatory guidelines.
Prepare a variety of foods requiring short preparation for patients, public, staff and catered events under supervision.
Serve meals and beverages in a variety of positions that requires very strong customer service skills.
Comply with HACCP guidelines and ensures proper washing and sanitizing of work areas and equipment.
Wash, rinse and sanitize equipment and work areas as assigned following proper procedures.
Required qualifications for this position include:
- Anchorage Municipality Food Handlers card within 30 days of hire
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
High school diploma or equivalent
Specific vocational training - This training can be provided in a school, work, military, institutional or vocational environment
1 year of training or on the job training in quantity food preparation and basic principles of sanitation and safety in food handling
